Ordering and Payment

Orders can be placed through the website by registered member accounts. Each account may be registered to a single individual and all account holders must be 18+. Items will be shipped to the billing address by default. Alternate shipping addresses are permitted but must be added at the time of order.

You will receive confirmation of your order by e-mail within 24 hours. A further e-mail will be sent when your order is dispatched.

Placing an order is legally binding. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Melusine Soap accepts payment for all major credit cards via Paypal.

We also accept payment by cheque, but please be aware that goods will not be despatched until the cheque has cleared through our bank.

Postage Charges

All postage on orders made in the UK and being sent within the UK are sent via First Class Royal Mail and the price of postage will be determined by the weight of the order.

All items going overseas will be sent by Airmail, and again the price will be determined by the weight of the order. Please contact us before placing your overseas order.

Delivery times

Please allow up to 3-5 working days after an order is made for the item to be despatched to you. This is because many items are made to order to ensure optimum freshness when they arrive to you.

Cancellations

As per Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have a cooling-off period of 7 working days, where you can cancel your order and receive a full refund. Please contact us here if you wish to cancel your order within these 7 days.

Refunds and Returns

If the products that you receive are damaged or faulty or do not match the description given at the time of the sale of those products, you must return them to us within 14 working days of receiving them and unopened and unused due to hygiene reasons. In this case, you will be offered an exchange where possible, or a full refund after we receive the returned products. Refunds will be made once the item has been received back. Please note, you will be liable to pay the return postage.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Your personal data, submitted when placing an order, will be used for processing and invoicing your order only.

Your data is not publicly available and will never be passed on to other third parties. Your data will be treated as strictly confidential.

Website

We try hard to replicate the products exactly in photographic form on the website. However, due to the nature of handmade products, no two are the same and will slightly vary in colour, pattern and size, making your order especially unique for you.

Prices are stated on our website in UK pounds sterling (UK£). You will be charged in pounds sterling, Paypal will convert this amount into your local currency using their daily exchange rate.

Disclaimer and Liability

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, as to the accuracy of any information given on our website to the extent permitted by law.

We will not be liable to anyone for any loss or damage, which may arise from the use of any of the information displayed on this website or from the impossibility of access to this website. The products we sell are designed for use as cleansing, rinse-off products only. Melusine Soap will not be liable for any misuse of these products or their inappropriate use or application. If you are in any doubt about the suitability of any of our products for your particular end use, please contact us before placing an order. Please also pay particular attention to the list of ingredients given on Ingredients Info page. All our products comply fully with the European Cosmetic Directive.

We will not be responsible for any delay or failure in the delivery of the products ordered by you or damage to the products when this is caused by an event beyond our control.

We reserve the right to alter these Terms and Conditions from time to time by posting new Terms and Conditions on this website.
